If you were a citizen of the Mojave who knew about the Enclave, seeing a bunch of soldiers pop up and leave would be very disconcerting. Other than the gameplay mechanics of them making the final battle a lot easier, they don’t give too much.benefit to the Mojave aside from what Arcade intended.Įven though they don’t exactly “give the blessing of the Enclave” since not only do they not have any remaining ties to the actual Enclave aside from their old equipment and memories of their warcrimes, but they also they simply leave the Mojave because they know people would recognize their armor and weapons. The only reason why Arcade is bringing this up is because he wants his family to have a chance to “redeem” themselves in his eyes by using their military might for something good- pushing the legion out of the Mojave. There is also a good, far more personal reason for Rathaus to encourage leaving behind a gristly past to seek brighter pastures. Afterwards, as long as they remain in retirement and work towards keeping the Mojave independent, she won’t be particularly aggressive. It’s very likely she’ll view the remnants as somewhat reformed and offer them a place in her battle for Vegas. Arcade would serve as possibly the biggest game-changer, being a genuinely kind-hearted person and helping Rathaus during her travel he is her first experience with a remnant. With her memory wipe, she knows next to nothing.Īs she comes to understand the Enclave, what they stood for and what they did, she may feel anger initially towards the remnants, but there is no personal or long-winded experience there. She doesn’t know much about the Enclave herself, maybe a story or two from her time in Dragon’s Domain. This is a very tough thing to answer and may morph the deeper I get into writing Rathaus’ story and understanding her character.
